For "We All Follow" we wanted to capture the get-up-when-it's-dark-and-the-rest-of-the-world-is-asleep commitment it takes to watch Premier League games live from the US. We told the story through the perspective of fans watching the game at the same time from different places, with the audio track just the announcers’ voices. For "This Is Chelsea Country" we combined footage we shot with crowdsourced game watch videos, showcasing the underground Chelsea community already alive and well in America. The English Premier League is the richest and most popular soccer league in the world and Chelsea FC is one of the most storied clubs. But for a long time, the US was the great white whale – the untapped market just on the brink of blowing up. We worked with the league and Chelsea on a series of video projects to grease the wheels for the British soccer invasion. These first two videos were used to launch their American social channels and build up their followings on Twitter and Instagram from zero to a million plus.
